Psychedelic-assisted therapy

  1. First clinical contact with the field in 2006, during a placement at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), in a project on psilocybin in treatment-resistant depression

  2. Certified in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy by the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), USA

  3. Training in MDMA-assisted therapy (MAPS, USA)

  4. Training in group integration of psychedelic experiences, in Canada and Mexico, supervised by Dr Gabor Maté

  5. Founded, in 2022, a clinical programme within the Ministry of Internal Administration for security-force professionals

  6. Director of the “Introduction to Psychedelic Therapy: Research and Clinical Practice” course, a pioneering university programme in Portugal (FMUL’s description)

He brings together clinical practice, research, teaching and cultural knowledge in psychedelic-assisted therapy, with a view of health that values the connection between mind, body and relationships.
