The first edition of the course “Introduction to Psychedelic Therapy: Research and Clinical Practice”, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL), has come to an end. Its conclusion was marked in a post on 11 September 2026, which summed up this edition as “more than a course” (our translation). Post on Instagram (in Portuguese).
What the first edition leaves
A first edition is also a chance to learn: which subjects need more time, which formats work best and which questions participants bring from clinical practice. Some of the subjects addressed are developed in articles on this website, on end of life, European epidemiology and the legal framework.
The second edition
According to the official FMUL page, checked on 8 October 2026, the 2nd edition takes applications from 1 October to 31 December 2026 and runs between February and June 2027, in a blended format. It is aimed mainly at health professionals, and also at researchers and other candidates with relevant professional experience. Application conditions are those published by FMUL.
